Emma spent her first two weeks of summer vacation at a Girl Scout summer camp called Ashgrove Adventure. She spent the two weeks outside, learning "outdoor skills." It was exactly how you envision summer camp to be. She came home each afternoon bouncing with energy, and as dirty as if she'd spend the whole day rolling in mud and dirt. She learned camp songs and made lanyards and gimps. She had a blast. The theme this year was "theater" and on the day they had a wardrobe and makeup center, she got painted like a puppy dog.
