Stray Cat

On Saturday afternoon, the girls and I went out for a longish bike ride with my mom. Just around where we turned around to head back home (about half a mile away), we met a cat that seemed pretty friendly. Well, the cat followed us the entire way home! Once we got home, it even tried going into our garage, but Arturo firmly placed it outside our house, where it sat patiently watching us for the next 20 minutes or so.

We all felt the cat was a stray or lost - it looked thin and had no collar. But we were hesitant to give it food as we didn't want it to stay for good, so we called around our neighbors to see if anyone had lost a cat in our neighborhood. During this time, the girls and I went to the back deck to shuck some corn. As we were chatting, the cat suddenly appeared on our back deck -- I guess it heard our voices around back and snuck through our fence to find us. At that point, Arturo brought the cat out around front again, where it found some bicyclists and started following them.
